Paul van Dyk headlines the 2013 Peace One Day Concert at the Pace Palace in the Hague. Following Sir Elton John’s performance at the 2012 Wembley Arena-based event, this year the Peace One Day organisation have been asked to bring their annual celebration to The Hague to mark the 100th anniversary of the Peace Palace. Taking place on 21st of September, the German GRAMMY Award nominated musician will be joined by an eclectic, all-star line-up.

Through their global campaigns Peace One Day have done, and continue to do truly outstanding work. Increasing peace around the planet on one day of the year and using it to bring medical aid and support in to some of the world’s most vulnerable is the most worthy of aims. I look forward to helping raise awareness of this cause and hope to see as many of you as possible in The Hague, dancing in the name of Peace.”

Enlisting the help of soulful star Dina Vass, who delivers a  shimmering vocal performance, Mannix puts his own outstanding spin on the song, all recorded with live instruments, treating us to a feast of stunning brass and sweeping string performances to shimmy, shake and get down to!

Mannix, born 1974 in Vienna has been into Dance music ever since 1986 when he bought his first records and finally started Djing 1990. He’s been one of Vienna’s pioneers for good house music alongside Austrian legends Alfi Budin, Lorenzo Al Dino, Peter Pan or to name but a few. A few years later he got Dance buyer, supervisor and finally sales manager for Virgin Megastores Austria and has established a very good and big vinyl department that is seen as an own record shop by customers. In 2001 he left Virgin to concentrate on product management and marketing at Planet Entertainment/Austria. In late 1999 he formed Whipped Creem together with DJ Krismas and DJ Wax to move to the next level. From this time on Mannix has been a producer, promoter and music journalist (DJ Magazine Hype Chart contributor, Tilllate Magazine House Reviewer) and has released on labels like AM:PM, Go Beat, Generate Music, Soundmen On Wax, Polydor or V2. After splitting up with Krismas, Mannix and Wax formed a new project Double Jackpot, Which stood for unique funky house music in its production and DJing guises.

DJ ANGELO debut Tribe release ‘LET THE MUSIC PLAY’ is out

DJ ANGELO debut Tribe release 'LET THE MUSIC PLAY' is outTribe Records likes to get around. ‘One Tribe. One People!’ is our mantra, and we love to get out to see our people! Among the many superb DJ all-stars to join us there was Global Fantasy’s DJ Angelo, whose club night in Athens is one of Zepherin Saint’s favourite regular places to play.

Some of you will already be a little bit familiar with DJ Angelo’s house-driven reworking of Shannon’s 1983 disco classic. Why did he make it now? ‘I’ve always loved the tune,’ says Angelo, ‘and I wanted to give it my own interpretation.’

We’re delighted by Angelo’s debut Tribe release, but his overnight success as a producer is built on the back of decades of DJing. He’s been playing out since he was 16, and has built up renowned DJ residencies with Global Fantasy throughout Greece as well as the regular weekly parties at Mamacas in Athens, guest DJing around the Mediterranean, and visiting South Africa for many years to showcase his talents in Pretoria and Johannesburg

SUNLOUNGER
FEAT. ALEXANDRA BADOI – I’LL BE FINEUnder Sunlounger – the most renowned of the Roger Shah pseudonyms, the German producer/composer presents the first single to be drawn from the ‘Balearic Beauty’ album. Featuring the transcendent vocals of Romanian songstress Alexandra Badoi, ‘I’ll Be Fine’ delivers the perfect summer 2013 summation.

Ranged across four different versions and six mixes and edits, ‘I’ll Be Fine’ abounds with classic Sunlounger touches and moments. In its Album Mix form it shimmers with melodic lilt – driven by Roger’s coolly running beats & percussion lines, swimming with elegiac note arrangements and further intoxicated by Badoi’s vocal lament.

The Roger Shah Rework of ‘I’ll Be Fine’ is the picture-perfect club-floor transfer. Rolling out deep bass and tougher edged distortion, it sets up a progressive-trance sound-storm. Cutting, looping and editing ‘I’ll Be Fine’s vocal parts, Shah effects a slow-burn release of the song – one that break-side fully erupts with striking impact.
