Amadar feat. Mr Nugget present ‘Move On’

Amadar feat. Mr Nugget present 'Move On'Since their inception in 2011, Swiss label The Brothers have gathered some serious momentum with their soulful and funky house output. Expanding in 2013, Edi Carlucci and Franky Freshy launch their exciting new offshoot label, which is set to feature releases from their deeper and techier artists, The Brothers Tracks. To mark the label launch is a brand new collaboration between upcoming Swiss house producer Amadar and British MC Mr Nugget who deliver a sublime deep house outing that carries a cool spoken word titled ‘Move On’.

Amadar came into touch two turntables and a mixer at the age of 13, thanks to his older brother. It wasn’t long before he was squandering his first pay cheques on records. Overwhelmed by the seemingly inexhaustible selection of house tracks and house genre, Amadar began to explore deep sounds. Playing his first club gig at the age of 19, he has since performed gigs in countless clubs and bars over the years. Following his deep love for music, Amadar sought new matters to express himself in the best possible way and the most obvious route was to produce own tracks. The results of his talents can be heard as he makes his debut single release on The Brothers Tracks label with ‘Move On’ featuring Mr Nugget.

This year’s OFF Festival runs from August 2?4, but they’ve also got an exciting addition for those of you show up a few days earlier. OFF will be throwing a warm-up party on 1st August, with several concerts scheduled in different clubs all over Katowice! We’ll have more details soon, but today we’d like to introduce the lineup you’ll get to see as part of the OFF Festival overture: Patrick Wolf, Micachu, A Band Of Buriers, and Labyrinth Ear.

Patrick Wolf
This charismatic English singer-songwriter has risen to cult status in Poland. Patrick is a multi-instrumentalist with diverse interests, which is why his gloomy yet romantic compositions combine folk with electronic music, only to veer into catchy pop choruses. Wolf recently summed up the first decade of his career with the double acoustic album Sundark and Riverlight, featuring new versions of his old favorites. „It’s the perfect soundtrack for a cold, gloomy evening,“ raves one reviewer for The Sun. And August nights can get a bit chilly? Continue reading OFF Festival Katowice 2013: Warm Up Parties in the best Katowice clubs.

Manuel De La Mare will perform at WMC 2013

Manuel De La Mare will perform at WMC 2013It’s time for WMC  again and Manuel De La Mare is ready to rock and rule.

Italian born producer/DJ, Manuel De Le Mare has spent the past years delivering money-shot releases and remixes, whilst marrying a lifetime of passion and dedication to his love of DJing. This ability within his musical sphere has pricked the interest of global artists like Mark Knight, John Acquaviva and Feddle Le Grand who have all requested his studio talents, whilst leading Beatport to bestow him the award of ‘Best Remixer 2011’, a suitable follow up on his nomination for ‘Best Deep House and Techno Artist’ back in 2010.
With his music growing in stature on ever release, the demand with his bookings has not been far behind. Already a familiar face at global venues like Ministry of Sound in London, Womb in Tokyo and Fabrik in Madrid, Space Ibiza, Amnesia Miami and Ultra Music Festival and Global Gathering. Manuel has managed to procure a global fan base that has enabled him to perform his music throughout Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa, as well as North and South America.
His sound stretches somewhere between house and progressive, whilst respectfully treading the line between commercial and credible underground.
The strength of his own recording label, which he runs with Alex Kenji and Luigi Rocca, is a testament to his intelligent foresight within his music. In a little under five years, 303Lovers and Hotfingers have both respectively find themselves being earmarked by major players like Richie Hawtin, Mark Knight, John Acquaviva, UMEK and Tiësto, Pete Tong, Bob Sinclar, Roger Sanchez, Axwell, David Guetta as a solid source of good quality electronic music.

Ferry Corsten & Markus Schulz launch New World PUNX

Ferry Corsten & Markus Schulz launch New World PUNXAn excited hush washes over the darkened arena, intense anticipation filling the air as thousands of world-weary club-goers await the spectacle about to ensue. After a hair-raising intro conjuring an edgy, dystopian future…boom! White-hot lights illuminate the two electronic dance music (EDM) heavyweights onstage together and ready to do battle. Each one is a superstar DJ and producer in his own right, but the Netherlands’ Ferry Corsten and the U.S.’s Markus Schulz put on a show so electrifying that the impact is greater than the sum of its parts. What began as a few spontaneous DJ sets between good friends and collaborators has grown into a hybrid stage persona after which discerning EDM fans lust. The result is the New World Punx (NWP), the high-energy DJ duo consisting of Markus Schulz and Ferry Corsten. The name derives from Ferry Corsten’s massive anthem, “Punk,” and Markus Schulz’s hit, “The New World.”

Each with his own distinct style of DJing and music production, Corsten and Schulz create an utterly different world when they team up as New World Punx. The NWP sound is harder, more driving and more aggressive than the melodic, euphoric style of soaring trance. Be they side-by-side onstage or in the studio releasing music under the NWP moniker, Schulz and Corsten’s combined persona is much tighter and more dynamic than the longer, more progressive sets they’re known to play solo. The NWP show is something their fans have come to demand, and the act’s evolution came about entirely organically. The initial seeds ofinspiration for NWP were born during Schulz and Corsten’s back-to-back set at Godskitchen in Birmingham in March 2012, evolving into tag-teaming sets at Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) at Tao Beach in Las Vegas, and Echostage in Washington D.C., the latter a mind- blowing seven-hour gig that was broadcast live in the U.S. on SiriusXM Radio. The NWP sets are vigorous and perfectlymarry Corsten’s and Schulz’s individual sounds. The result is a perfect sonic storm that caters to the short attention spans of today’s tech-savvy music consumers.

SESA feat Erin – In My Life

SESA feat Erin - In My Life

It was back in 2006 when Syke‘n‘Sugarstarr first produced ‘In My Life’. They created a powerfully melancholic, atmospheric soundtrack, laced with sliding guitar riffs and a big, funked up bass line pitched perfectly with the outstanding, emotive vocal performance by British singer, Erin Lordan.

‘In My Life’’ stormed to the top of Aria Charts in Australia, launching it straight into the consciousness of the worldwide club scene. Not only an anthem played on radio to this day, it remains ever present on the playlists of many big names in house music.

Now – after quite some time, a huge re-release is set to take 2013 by storm. The production team Syke‘n‘Sugarstarr, pull out all of the stops to make ‘In My Life’ a contemporary anthem once again.  Destined now for the big room crowd, it still manages to embrace the original flavour of the song.

Beside the brand new 2013 Extended Mix by SESA, there’s a whole bunch of remixes programmed by Spain‘s top DJs Taito Tikaro & Flavio Zarza. Also on board with really banging mixes – the London based DJ-Duos Maze & Masters and Steve Pitron & Max Sanna. Pure hotness. Continue reading SESA feat Erin – In My Life
