QPD is the hottest band to come from Australia in a long time. QPD are a rock pop duo that blends acoustic and pop sensibilities to give everybody something to relate to. They draw their inspiration from the likes of Matchbox 20, Keith Urban, John Mayer and classic Australian acts such as Cold Chisel. It was the strength of QPD’s original music that caught the attention of legendary Australian music producer Peter Blyton (Keith Urban, The Choirboys) at a band competition on Sydney’s Northern Beaches.
Since the launch of their debut album “Yes or No” back in June 2011, Australian band QPD have been riding a rollercoaster. Lead singer Kyle recently travelled to Germany to meet with Record companies and publishers to a massive response. The QPD sound left a big impact.
The founding members Kyle Pearce(vocals / guitar) and Miles Baulch (guitar) started playing shows throughout Sydney and regional areas and quickly built a loyal fan base with their distinctive sound. Now based in Düsseldorf (Germany) QPD are spreading their music throughout Europe.
QPD have spent the last 5 years performing hundreds of shows in Sydney‘s biggest and most popular venues as well as touring across the country. Some of the venues the band was performing in are The Basement, The Sando, the Narrabeen Sands.
In addition to playing their own shows, QPD have supported some of Australia‘s biggest acts as The Angels, Rick Price, Mi-Sex, Jack Jones (Southern Sons), Steve Balbi (Noise works).
QPD are on fire. Armed with their arsenal of songs they are ready to take their music around the world!
