Blackhall & Bookless will be playing at SW4, Zoo Project Festival & Beacon Festival

Blackhall & Bookless will be playing at SW4, Zoo Project Festival & Beacon FestivalSummer 2013 has already been pretty special for Geordie duo, Blackhall and Bookless, the driving force behind the internationally recognised brand Jaunt. Having wowed clued up clubbers with their unmistakable house and techno vibes at two of the biggest clubs in the world, Space (Ibiza) and Fabric (London), the Whitley Bay lads are now preparing to play at some of the biggest festivals in the UK.

Having already played alongside The Chemical Brothers, 2ManyDJs and Pete Tong at the world famous Space Ibiza Opening Fiesta, Christopher Blackhall and Christopher Bookless will play at London’s SW4 on August 24, Beacons Festival on August 16 and Zoo Project Festival on August 30.

As the biggest names in the house and techno circuit descend into South West London to form the biggest line up SW4 has ever showcased, the lads are in good company as they prepare to deliver one of their unmistakable deep, groove-ridden house and techno sets as part of South West 4’s Tenth Anniversary celebrations.

The duo will play alongside some of the world’s best house and techno talent. With a line-up featuring Carl Cox, Loco Dice and Eric Morillo, SW4’s summer line up boasts some of the best house and techno talent in the industry. The North East’s finest promoters will then join some of the biggest names in electronic dance music at Zoo Project festival in Kettering, Northamptonshire

After spending the last decade honing their ability to captivate a dance floor with their irresistible double headphone, three and four decks sets deep into the moodiest of groove-ridden house and techno – the talented duo knows how to take the party onto the next level.

This is because the close mates are no strangers to the clubbing scene. Over the years the talented lads have played alongside some of the industry’s top-level talent such as Jaime Jones, Julio Bashmore, Kyle Hall, Steffi, Prosumer, Omar S and Kerri Chandler.

For Blackhall and Bookless, house and techno music has been a part of their lives since the tender age of 13.  The Whitley Bay lads spent most of their teenage years immersed in house music, mastering their own distinct mix of house and techno sounds.

A decade on, the duo is now responsible for one of the biggest house and techno club nights. Since 2007, they have established themselves as the residents and driving force behind the internationally recognised Newcastle and London based club night – Jaunt.

Whether it’s one of their infamous lock-up parties in Newcastle’s industrial outskirts, secret Penthouse shindigs in a disused railway arch or basement raves in the back streets of East London – it is not surprising that Jaunt remains one of the coolest house and techno club nights. They regularly offer clubbers a clubbing experience hard to find anywhere else and this Summer it’s no different, as Jaunt prepare to bring one of their secret parties to Ibiza.

Over the years, not only have the talented duo worked alongside some of the biggest and most respected high profile brands in underground house music including Hideout Festival, Channel Zoo, We Love and Circo Loco, but they have also turned their hand to producing their own tracks.

Their singles YA HEAD (CATWASH RECORDS BEATS VOL 1) was released on February 6 followed by LOOSE IT JAYS HOUSE (CATWASH RECORDS BEATS VOL 2) on February 27. Both tracks have been released as part of various artists EPs, and are also available to purchase online separately via Beatport,ITunes and Track it down.

These latest bookings have cemented the fact that 2013 is set to be a big year for Blackhall and Bookless as their diaries are jam packed with enviable bookings. Driving their unique sounds into a mainstream audience is what it is all about and the Geordie duo definitely have a lot to shout about. With a summer of high profile festival and club appearances in the pipeline we look forward to see what the lads can deliver this year.
